The
Joe Tones
are an original rhythm band led by singer/songwriter/harmonica player
Joe Vanesky. The Tones play ensemble roots music, acoustic and amplified,
that reflects the rhythms of blues, acoustic rock, country, jazz and world-beat
music. The rhythm section begins with drummer Russell Allen and bassist
Tony Theissen, two veterans of the Wisconsin blues scene. Country-influenced
Denise Crouse picks and strums the acoustic guitar and adds her contrasting
atmospheric vocals to the eclectic groove. George Spoo powers the lead
guitar for the Tones.
